I have noticed a trend over the last few years, I used to drink a lot of coca cola 3 or 4 cans per day, then I stopped after I realised It cannot be good for you, but now and again i will have some and the next day I feel really down and depressed, this happens every single time, I am not sure weather it is the amount of sugar in coke (there is a link between sugar and depression) or the amount of caffine that takes me high then puts me down with a bump. so I have now stopped it altogether but its got me thinking, I wonder how much certain types of food affect our moods and feelings. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this board so what are your thoughts on this, how much can food and drink affect our moods and feelings?

Are there certain mood foods that make us feel down or make us feel happy?

If so maybe somebody could post a list of foods we should avoid and list of "Happy Foods"
