Next to my Cafe Del Mar cd I also downloaded two songs which I listened in about a year ago, while flying to Detroit for work and listening the world/lounge channel..

And yesterday I found them again on I-tunes..
They are from Idan Raichel, who must be well known now by promotion of Genesis.
But listen to this one and its amazing back vocals.. just great...

      Idan Raichel Project - Boee.

      Boee

By the way, I just saw a live version (on youtube) it is so great and funny to hear and see, everybody sings/shouts along..

Im in love with this track

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL3ZbNRH1Wc

      Edge of the ocean- Ivy

      "Edge Of The Ocean"

      There's a place I dream about
Where the sun never goes out.
And the sky is deep and blue.
Won't you take me there with you.

      Ohhh, we can begin again.
Shed our skin, let the sun shine in.
At the edge of the ocean
      We can start over again.

      There's a world I've always known
      Somewhere far away from home.
When I close my eyes I see
      All the space and mystery.

      Ohhh, we can begin again.
Shed our skin, let the sun shine in.
At the edge of the ocean
      We can start over again.
This great, Supreme God of all the Gods is limited in one respect: He cannot take Himself out of you , anything or anyone else. You are the projector and the screen ...you are the movie and every player is you ....The Projector - The Bodys eyes ...the screen = the world and the universe you see...Know thy self ...

Sigur Ros - Takk. Every time I come back to SR I marvel that an Icelandic 'rock' band with a lead singer who sounds a bit like a cat on helium can make such beautiful, haunting and atmospheric music.

      Default Killers

I did my best to notice
when the call came down the line
up to the platform of surrender
I was brought but I was kind
      and sometimes I get nervous
when I see an open door

close your eyes, clear your heart

      cut the cord
are we human or are we dancer
my sign is vital, my hands are cold
and Im on my knees looking for the answer
are we human or are we dancer

pay my respects to grace and virtue
      send my condolences to good
give my regards to soul and romance
they always did the best they could
      and so long to devotion,
you taught me everything I know
wave good bye, wish me well

      you gotta let me go
are we human or are we dancer
my sign is vital, my hands are cold
and Im on my knees looking for the answer
are we human or are we dancer

will your system be all right
when you dream of home tonight
there is no message were receiving
let me know is your heart still beating

are we human or are we dancer
my sign is vital, my hands are cold
and Im on my knees looking for the answer

      youve gotta let me know
are we human or are we dancer
my sign is vital, my hands are cold
and Im on my knees looking for the answer
      are we human

Today - I dug out my Snow Patrol "Eyes Open" album which I adore and this is the song I love most from it. It's called "Set the Fire to the Third Bar"

I find the map and draw a straight line
Over rivers, farms, and state lines
The distance from 'A' to where you'd be
      It's only finger-lengths that I see
I touch the place where I'd find your face
My finger in creases of distant dark places

I hang my coat up in the first bar
There is no peace that I've found so far
      The laughter penetrates my silence
As drunken men find flaws in science

      Their words mostly noises
      Ghosts with just voices
      Your words in my memory
      Are like music to me

I'm miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
I, I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms

After I have travelled so far
We'd set the fire to the third bar
We'd share each other like an island
      Until exhausted, close our eyelids
      And dreaming, pick up from
The last place we left off
      Your soft skin is weeping
A joy you can't keep in

I'm miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
And I, I pray that something picks me up
and sets me down in your warm arms

I'm miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
and I, I pray that something picks me up
and sets me down in your warm arms

I adore this record.. especially this verse

      I've been looking for truth
      At the cost of living
I've been afraid of what's before mine eyes
      Every answer found
      Begs another question
The further you go, the less you know
      The less I know

I'm currently listening to a CD by Vangelis, "1492 Conquest Of Paridise" released in 1992.
      It is exceptional.
For myself, it embraces my psyche with it's mellotic vibrations syncronizing my complete being. And promotes Self healing.
If your looking to experience your Complete Self on a conscious level, try this CD on for size.

Just about everyone who knows me knows that I have a serious Vangelis addiction. His work is just beautiful, inventive and sublime - and at times very powerful and spiritually uplifting.

'1492' is a wonderful soundtrack....I also strongly recommend 'Opera Sauvage', which is now 30 years old but it's timeless transcendent quality makes it as fresh and vital as ever. It's quite a chilled, relaxing album; dream-like and fluidic, with some beautiful melodies and instrumentation. I don't hear it discussed very often which is a shame - because it's an album well worth discovering. Very meditative and inspirational.
