      Default mysterious

I thought it would be fun to see what the rest of you were interested in, if at all, as far as some of mankinds greatest mysteries.

What legends, fables and tales have you researched and draw you in?

Some lend to tales of Atlantis and Lumaria...
Others to King Arthur and his knights...

Some like to get into the native american legends..

Perhaps you are into the stories of sacred texts ...

or could it be you like looking into faeries and unicorns

What ever it is... lets hear it!

Hmm...I think anyone who knows me, it is a case of what am I NOT interested in!!!
I love all the ancient stories - Celts, native american, chinese, hindu etc. I also love stories of dragons and fairies and wizards, all of the above I guess.
As I child I loved reading and was always 'off in another world' according to my parents....lol
Maybe I was returning to my real self and escaping the illusion for a little..?

I am also drawn to the ancient and nearly forgotten first civilization of 'Ur' that was established in the deserts of what is now known as Iran some 6000 years ago; before the Egyptians, before the Hindus, before the Chinese civilizations and cultures.

That is a mysterious intrigue to me - because ever since I was young (as in 12 years old) - I would get and still do get 'flashes' and or 'visions' of an ancient desert civilization. I have seen things before they happen and I have seen things that have happened ....

Crystallori, I'm like you. There is always a good story to go chase down. To me they all seem relevant to where we are now and how we came to be. In every corner of our little world there are clues left behind, a past pointing a way to a future.

I think we have left ourselves hints along the way. Relics that almost scream at humanity to "wake up". Old words and phrases that might serve as reminders of a deeper understanding and meaning.

I love your meandering Chad and I am right there with you I think we have left many clues for our future selves in our past
We have a place here in ireland called Newgrange and it is an old passage tomb with a great stone circle surrounding it and I was transported back in time when I was there....

Some time ago I came across a term whose concept grabbed hold of me and has never let go.. it is Anam Cara. I spent some time looking up its origins and found that it is tied into some incredible myths of other worlds.... the land of Tir Na Nog

That saying came to the fore when a guy here (now sadly passed on) called John Donohue who wrote the book Anam Cara.
His series of books are very beautiful....worth a read.
For many, it changed their perspective on the use of Anam Cara.

Oh yes I read about this one Chad!! Very interesting. I also have a sense or feeling about some of these places....that they hide in plain sight but are not always meant to be found again for varying reasons.
There is a place here - the Hill of Tara -very ancient site and was originally the seat of the High Kings of Ireland. The first time I visited this place, we got a little lost. I knew immediately we were there as my hands and feet were absolutely tingling and on fire with energy!
We turned a corner and there it was!
Now its not much to look at...just some earth works and a standing stone or two with a small passage tomb but the senses you could pick up there....wow! You could feel the blood lust and sense of warring families etc was overwhelming!
I love to visit there but cannot stay to long as it becomes to much for me as an empath.

      very cool Lorri

indeed... hiding in plain site. I'm reminded of how there are places we've been to that seem sort of 'out of phase' with the rest of the world and you don't notice them unless you are looking for them. I've seen some people that are like that too

Oh Polly, have to say I got a chuckle out of your "... it 'spoke' to me ..." comment. hahaha I know, bad. Its all I can do not to ask what it said

      ((((((((((hugs))))))))) to you all.

Looks like I'll be taking Shan to the hospital today or tomorrow so if you dont hear from us for a few days... you can look forward to some pictures of Autumn Rose when we get back
