I'm back that's what makes me smile today... if only for a moment... I've been on vacations at the beach with my family and I have to go back tomorrow... there's no internet at all... but for today I'm here I realize how much I missed home.

Having my son, his partner and daughter over for dinner yesterday

I got to have them all for the whole day and they just left after staying over...first time in a long time he stayed with us

The beautiful sunrise this morning. it was very cold here last night and everything is covered in heavy frost...looks so beautiful and crisp and festive!!!

Ah Lorri - That's great that they all came for dinner. You must send me photos by the way! I'd love to see her.

What made me smile this morning was looking over at the car next to me on my way to work and see a toddler smile at his baby brother or sister in the baby carrier next to him. Very sweet.

What will hopefully make me smile later is getting off work a bit early and getting home to see Peter and Seryn.

Well, it has snowed yet again here in Connecticut, and we have 3 solid more months of winter to face!

....well, I don't know why, but I really enjoy shoveling snow....hmm, maybe it's has something to with the fact it's laborous and it's a good workout!

Chairlift mishap strips US skier

A skier was left dangling from a chairlift at an American resort after he became stuck upside-down with his ski trousers round his ankles.

Photos show the man naked from his waist to his knees, swinging from one leg, and still wearing both skis.

He became entangled shortly after boarding the Skyline Express lift.

The lift was stopped and reversed about 12ft (3.6m) before he was freed by the Vail Ski Patrol, Vail Resort said in a statement about the 1 January incident.

The resort operator said the 48-year-old man was suspended for about seven minutes, but was uninjured.

Poor Man, I bet he was cold lol

Good Morning Everyone!

I just woke-up about 26 mins ago

and my brain never runs at 100% when I first wake-up *one needs*

and I realized I haven't gotten up this 'early' in a long time....although I have a very good reason for getting up so early; Paul is off to work today!

Well, about 7 mins after waking up, I stumbled into the kitchen to find him heating up yesterday's brew in the microwave *how can anyone trully 'wake-up' on yesterday's brew microwaved?*....well, I knew he had a few minutes to spare before he had to leave, so I made a nice fresh pot of yummy coffee!

AH........

Anyway, what made me smile today (and the day has just started and there is plenty of room for more smiling to happen today)....anyway Paul is on his way to a job as I write and I am very happy for him because he needs it in more ways than one!

Well, I think it's time for another cup o' joe!
