      Default Classics

Was wondering what you all thought of as the all time classics,

For me,though Neil Young and Lorrenna are my favorites, there
are two records my oldest brother came home with one day
and I figure them to be, from my perscective anyway the two
      classics of my time,
Beatles white album, and nevermind the bollocks, here's the sex pistols.

      Peace and Love,
      DangerBird.

Well.. I never gave this much of a thought, but lets say for me it might be "Art of Noise", "The Cure", "Army of Lovers", etc. I was watching at my iTunes library and I just figured out that my music ruffly starts from about 1995.. I listen what and how I feel at the moment, I don't know, maybe I'm a wrong person to talk about this

      2 Great albums DB,

I have a lot of albums that I consider classics, some just because of personal reasons others because they changed or defined the music scene and are fantastic albums... here are a few

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses (debut album)

      The Stone Roses

an amazing album from start to finish that changed the music scene in britain for years to come, The second album (The second coming) was also excellent.

      Oasis - Definatley Maybe

Another great manchester band and another superb album

Pink Floyd - The Wall (I prefer this over dark side of the moon)

Jimmy Hendrix - Are you experienced
      Enigma - MCMXC a.D
The Smiths - The queen is dead
Meat Loaf - Bat out of Hell
      Pulp - His and Hers
      The Cure - Disintagration
James - Laid (never broke any records or made a huge impact but what an album)

Chicane - Behind the sun - just beacuse I love it

      I could go on

Sgt Peppers - Beatles, simply the single most influential rock and rool album ever made

Their Satanic Majesty's Request - The Rolling Stones..did any record ever quite turn things on their head as this one did?

Led Zepplin 4 - Led Zepplin...THe rock and roll masterpiece of all time IMHO

Abraxas - Santana, if you cant hum a tune from this baby, youre brain dead!

The Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson..the pinnacle of progressive rock

Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd...this album stayed on billboards top 10 for like 10 whole years...how it can it not make this list?

Never Mind the Bullocks - The Sex Pistols...I mean really, this record started a revolution in music! lol

Londons Calling - The Clash...the best punk record ever made, hands down

Sandanista - The Clash...who woulda thought that punk had a moral conscious until they heard this record. Cemented The Clash as the greatest punk act of all time...The Guns of Brixton....

Pornography - The Cure. Opened the door to what became the post punk sound. One of the darkest records ever made

The Black Album - Metallica. Who doesnt know the opening riff to this record?

Appetite for Destruction - Guns and Roses. You simply had to see this to believe it. Guns and Roses owned the world with this release until they self-destructed

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - The Smashing Pumpkins. An utter masterpiece by one of the most influential bands ever.

The Unforgettable Fire - U2. To me the record that signalled the end of the U2 I had come to love, BUTalso the one that made the world take notice of the boys from Belfast. A masterpiece...almost unfortunately....

Video Audio Sensory Theater - VAST. I saw jaws drop at this one. No one had ever heard anything like it before.

Dirt - Alice In Chains. Down in a Hole, Rooster, Would, Them Bones, Angry Chair...need I say anything more?

Nevermind - Nirvana. Boy did this baby ever come out of nowhere and get in everybodys face. Genious.

Ten - Pearl Jam...platinum 13 times over! 13! Unreal and to this day, no song moves me quite like Jeremy

      Never Mind the Bollocks
      London Calling

I would also add the Beatles Revolver

      Default thanks

I really like the vast majority of those,
just thinking though...how about your favorite underrated band?

Mine would be Gary Numan....the one radio song "cars" though a
good song does not do justice to the music he composed on many other
      albums,
      Peace,
      DangerBird.
