The 'Truth' within the story is very subtle, but very real nonetheless.

Finally saw Star Trek last night!!! brilliant!! brilliant!! brilliant!!
I absolutely loved this film and was not disappointed in the least! the guy they picked to play Kirk was excellent as was Spock!! it was a real trip down memory lane as they stayed true to the original Star Trek series.
my name's Lorri and I am a Trekkie!!

Ooh I'm going to see it later today, and I can't wait!! It's been getting absolutely rave reviews from the critics. I've long been a closet Trekkie too (although I kind of gave up on the last couple of spin-offs and the Next Gen movies were a disappointment, except First Contact of course), so I was so excited when I heard JJ Abrams was resurrecting the franchise. Lost is probably my favourite TV show of all-time. Love it.

Anyway, can't wait! Haven't been looking forward this much to a film in ages...

Is anybody as excited as me about "Angels and Demons"????? I have the same level of excitement about this movie as all my trekkie friends had about the Star Treck movie (Me: ...meh...), but they all think I'm weird.

This is THE only movie I care to see all summer long!

Also, you can pre-order Dan Brown's third book in this series "The Lost Symbol" on Amazon.com.

      Star Trek was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!

Seriously seriously good. Was absolutely gripped from the opening frame and surprised at what an emotional wallop it packed. The cast were great. I never thought I'd ever find Captain Kirk so darn hunky! Chris Pine was great and is surely a big star in the making, and I loved Simon Pegg, the guy playing Bones, Uhura and the others (can't remember their names). And it was great to see Leonard Nimoy after all these years - he brought a real dignity and class to it. It was just fantastic. Not only a great Star Trek film (totally unlike any that's preceded it though) but a great film full stop. Perfect blend of action, comedy, suspense and emotion. It absolutely runs rings around the Star Wars prequels. I loved it!

Yes I saw this last night and although I enjoyed it there was something missing. Unlike the Davinci Code, I didn't read the book first (cos I always get disappointed by the film then) but still...I kinda know what you mean V! It felt kinda rushed!

Well, i'm not sure where to post this but..... it's about a movie that might be coming out in 2010 or 2011.

Who does remember: He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe? Not the cheap movie with Dolph Lundgren but i'm talking about the toyline and the animated series of the 80's. In my childhood days i was a huge fan of this stuff.

Yep, it's seems that they are going to make a complete new live action movie out of it. I still don't know excactly what the movie will be called, one site says it's He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe another says that the title is changed to Grayskull or Grayskull: Masters Of The Universe.
What to expect? I read something about sceneries like The Lord of The Rings, 300 and so on, if i'm not mistaken.

Anyway, i'm excited what this movie will be if..... only if they're really pulling this thing through.

This film is right up any MW member's alley!

Netflix synopsis reads out as ...

      Peaceful Warrior (2006)

With the world on a string, skilled gymnast and collegiate superstar Dan Millman (Scott Mechlowicz) has everything he could ever want -- until an injury changes his life forever. During his recovery, fate presents Dan with Joy (Amy Smart) and a stranger named Socrates (Nick Nolte), who unlocks a world of sage wisdom and spiritual understanding. Victor Salva directs this inspiring drama, based on Millman's best-selling autobiographical novel.

      Length 112 mins. Rated P-G 13

Months ago, I originally put this film in our queue for Paul to watch and I ended up watching it by myself (I was slightly disappointed Paul did not watch it at the time) ... but then a few weeks ago - Paul called me up while he was at work, asking about this film ... so I put it our queue again ... and he really enjoyed it and for me it was nice seeing it a second time! The film is based on true events!
