Well, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I just heard parts of the soundtrack on XM Radio Cinemagic Channel 76 and you're right, from what I have heard it does have a great soundtrack ..... *hm* ..... I think I might just skip over to www.netflix.com and put the movie in our queue!! Thanks Lorri!

Saw Groundhog Day over the holidays. Haven't seen it for ages and its an excellent film about a guy who is incredibly self centred and ends up reliving the same day over and over again. At first he realises that there are no consequnces and then realises that life has no meaning like this. He then goes on to try and change to change the situation as he accepts he has alternatives to the self destructive path.
Anyone who hasn't seen it will enjoy it and Bill Murray is his usual smart alec self!

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

      Highly Recommended to all!

Netflix Synopsis reads out as ...

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.
In 1995, author and Elle magazine editor Jean-Dominique Bauby suffered a stroke that put him in a coma; he awakened mute and completely paralyzed. Mathieu Amalric stars in this adaptation of Bauby's autobiography, which he dictated by blinking. Julian Schnabel was nominated for the 2008 Best Director Oscar and won the Golden Globe in the same category for his poignant film about the strength of the human spirit.

      Length: 112 min. Rated: P-G 13

An absolutely powerful and beautiful film on the ever unique ... human spirit!

Max van Sydow's performance is simply captivating! (I really couldn't help myself with him.) He is a fine, very fine actor! Everyone did a fabulous job, but Max's won it for me!

      Warning ... it is a tear-jerker film.

Saw Australia over the weekend. I have to say it was much better than I expected.
Its set with the WWII backdrop and the racism towards the Aborigine people...the thread is the love story between the two main characters. Its a long one but worth the viewing

This great, Supreme God of all the Gods is limited in one respect: He cannot take Himself out of you , anything or anyone else. You are the projector and the screen ...you are the movie and every player is you ....The Projector - The Bodys eyes ...the screen = the world and the universe you see...Know thy self ...

Oh, I love the fifth element also! I was watching it recently. Also, the part when the alien lady sings....I think it would have been awesome if they would have used Michael Cretu to compose.

This morning I woke up to "Schindlers List" I only caught the last hour. But, wow, now I just have to see the whole thing, but I have to catch it on.

Interesting: This morning which is May 1, I started another cleansing/fasting ritual, and last year the same time I did a seven day fast starting May 1st. Whats interesting is the fact that it seems that much Nazi/Holocust documentaries are on this time of year. Viewing holocost documentaries actually help me find strength thruought the fast.

On a quick side note: I watched this show called "the doctors" yesterday. And they had a young lady with some sort of twitching disorder...I forgot what it is called exactly, but starts with a D, and I was just crying my eyes out as I watched this beautiful person have to live with a seemingly uncomfortable disability.
