Maybe we were watching it the same night, Paul and I watched it too, it's one of my favourite films from when I was I kid!.....Gotta love the brash Sea Captain!

"I'll polish his brass for him!" ...or...."I mean MEN, not perfumed parlor snakes!"

      [Later Edit]

Back to 3:10 to Yuma, both films are not bad and I enjoyed them, individually, very much!

If, you like the classic 1950's Western film, than you'll like the 1957 version. Filmed in B&W, it has less 'action' and the inner workings of the plot are 'easier' to follow and it's not cluttered with side stories. The costumes are okay. The acting at times is a little cheezy, but overall it is good. Some scenes are drawn out.

If, you like the Hollywood-of-today spin on Westerns than you'll like the 2007 version. The landscape of Arizona is beautiful with all it's rich colour. The costumes are great and totally authentic! In the area(s) in the 1957 version, where scenes were drawn out, the 2007 version fills that in with more gun shooting, more blood, hyped-up drama, interesting actualities of the times, and of course a 21st century Hollywood film is not complete without, yep, special effects.

Well, both films are enjoyable and it's fun to compare!

The reason, I perfer the 1957 version, is the ending...which I will not give away.

Oh My, Oh My, Oh My I sow Repo! today (again) and I f****** loved it ! Its great...

There is one scene with Sarah Brightman that I LOVE and I think its worth the whole movie.. Its so great, so prefect, I'm speechless ! It's maybe best movie scene I ever sow.. If anymore is wondering its a sort of goth musical, its great, worth the time and so different from movies we see, specially nowadays with all the sequels and superheros.. So original..

Check this scene out... It's called Chase The Morning

OK this is NOT for the faint of heart.
I once saw this Korean movie called "Ichi the killer". The plot is really dumb and the acting...well...not the finest i've seen to say the least. The thing is - its for anyone who likes totally gruesome violence. I wont go to any details but there are several clips on youtube if you wanna check it out.

      Well worth a look!

Yeh I enjoyed that film Lorri was very good

Last night I watched Yes Man, , Jim Carey gets caught up in this self help theory that instead of being negative all the time you have to say Yes to everything anybody asks you, was pretty funny, Jim Carey films are usually hit or miss but this was one of his good ones..

I saw this Japanese movie and yes it has gruesome violence and bloody gore, infact it helps one to measure his/her GQ (Gore Quotient ) and i found out that my GQ is pretty high ....i was more into the creative aspect of how the blood was shed and in what ways pain can be inflicted on humans........I felt that the plot is not really a dumb nor the actors,it portrays the very darker side of us humans.

But seriously this movie is not at all for the faint of heart and those who are afraid of dark reality.Stay away from this movie unless you want to measure your GQ.

      Thank you Tzvika ...

      Loved that film Soulchild

Here's one for the girls...I saw the Accidental Husband...very funny and very observant on how we think we know about 'love' but need to have a rethink on it from time to time and its definitely no science!
Enjoyed it thoroughly...on my own and a glass of wine...open fire and a chick flick!

Also saw the Love Guru with Mike Myers. If you liked austin Powers you will like this. Quite amusing in places but very much schoolboy humour!!

2 films I have watched in the last few days that have both been excellent

      The first an old movie

      Contact

I have not seen this film since it first came out all those years ago and I had forgotton how fantastic it is, The scene on the beach is amazing, great story and a film that really makes you think

      I also watched

      Australia

This has just came out, a great epic about an english lady (Nicole Kidman) and an australian drover (Hugh Jackman) who have to herd cattle over the harsh northern Australian outback, set just before World War 2 The story can be a bit haphazard at times but I really enjoyed it, it is visually stunning, the scenes of the Australian outback are amazing.

I just sow Juno ! Its awesome. I think its romantic comedy or something like that, last thing I would want to see, but I heard good stories about this movie and they were true, movie is really fresh and simple and so wonderful. Its a good family movie as well. I read on Wikipedia that movie was a low budget and they never expected world wide success of it, which is true when you see that movie coasted 6,5 millions and earned more then 250 millions world wide and this is a huge success. Usually, high budget movies spend half of money on ads and stuff.

I'm making a movie night this evening, will be watching a few movies. I plan to see: Dead Like Me..Life After That (I only sow a few TV shows, I hope it won't matter when it comes to movie), Quarantine and Alien Raiders.

I hope that new Friday 13th comes to cinemas here fast, because I wanna see it. I love horror movies in cinema, sound is just.. no word to describe it

Saw RocknRolla last night - a Guy Ritchie film. Typical of his films and very humourous!! Definitely recommend it if you like his films but no Jason Statham this time! Instead has Gerard Butler in it (hmmmm) very good though

Went and saw Push. I give it two and a half stars out of 5. Was okay, but the action scenes could have been better. Overall a good movie to watch till Watchmen opens.
