I went to see Inception at the weekend and absolutely LOVED it!! It's the best film I've seen in years, the writing is little short of genius and it is superbly executed with a great cast. You have to keep your wits about you to grasp the complexities of the plot - I echo what a friend said when she warned me to make sure I didn't need to nip off to the toilet during the film. I loved the way it strips down reality; to me reality has a dream-like quality anyway and truth be told I could almost sympathise with Cobb's wife - it's not real! Reality that is. Who is the dreamer and what is the dream? Film-making at its best can enable us to question reality and ourselves.

Yup, loved this film and highly recommend it. It was slightly reminiscent of The Matrix, although (as much as I loved The Matrix), I think Inception is definitely the superior film. It's very rare for me to see a film again the moment I've watched it. But I can't wait for the DVD to come out.

Saw two movies this weekend....Expendables last night...I know I can be a bit of a 'ladette' with films...(I enjoy the boys films for action and stuff very often) and was a bit dubious about seeing all the old action 'heros' together after all this time, but if you want a bit of rip roaring action, this is great!! Bit blood and guts in places but also some great humour too...

In complete contrast, I saw the Last Airbender! Wow!! What a film! Yeah I know its for kids and based on a kids cartoon but the storyline and underlying theme is wonderful...I was in tears very often during the film and just cannot recommend it enough!!

I was wondering if anyone had seen "Prince Of Persia" yet?
It looks like a DVD I might want to purchase and would appreciate any input anyone may have to offer.

      National Geographic: Stonehenge Decoded.

Netflix synopsis reads out as ...

      National Geographic: Stonehenge Decoded.
Featuring intriguing interviews, reconstructions and narration by Donald Sutherland, this National Geographic documentary presents new evidence and a groundbreaking theory about the origin and purpose of the enigmatic Stonehenge. The finding of a lost city near the prehistoric structure has led an archaeological team headed by Prof. Mike Parker Pearson to posit that Stonehenge was the nucleus of one of the world's biggest religious centers.

      Highly, highly recommended!!!

      Hereafter

I watched this flick last night...

      Reminds me of John Edwards
Reminds me of Dannion Brinkley - Book "Secrets of the Light"
Reminds me of my mums friends story about her near death experience when she nearly drowned in the ocean....

I really liked this movie ......

Okay ... okay, I know, I said that 'I had no intention of seeing it' ... but, I did, which I am glad for now .... I love that the movie makers tried to make it like the video game in some areas - like when the Prince had a new 'objective', they totally copied the video game ... which was cool and fun, and it made me laugh, because the game (especially the first one) is so much fun to play!

As for Jake Gall-?-um?-what's-his-last-name ... well, I can't say he makes me swoon and I still feel he is not the Prince of Persia ... but, but he certainly did his best to be the Prince.

So, yes, I recommend renting it and or buying it .... action-adventure-fantasy films are always fun!!
