I am not really a soap fan, theres enough misery in real life without watching it on TV but after all the hype I have watched Coronation Street this week (Should be called Devastation street) A week of watching lives torn apart, people killed left right and centre by a runaway tram people murdered, children and OAPs missing, affairs coming out all over the place. At the very end, to scenes of devastation, misery and grief they played this... It was very moving, even though I hardly knew any of the characters

I'm actually listening to the Social somg right now...
But.... I wanted to give you a song which has been my all-time fav for several weeks now... It's North star from Faithless and .. Dido.

The song starts a great bassline at 26 seconds.. and after the 1st chorus, the famous faithless strings fall in, in the background... Halfway the song ms Bliss is adding an almost psychotic synth (is quite sudden) but then the basses continue again... Lovely song, especially on good speakers.. mmm..

That U2 song and video are great. Since joining Mysterious Wisdom, I wondered whether anybody across the pond watched Coronation Street. I watch it in the U.S. via the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and we are about ten months behind. (The episodes currently running here were first telecast in the U.K. in February 2010.)

It is hard for me to avoid spoilers, so I do not want to know who died recently, but I am glad that---when I get to see those episodes (next October?)---I can anticipate an artistic coda to the turmoil via U2 (one of my favourite bands). Thanks for the alert!

virtually unknown in the mainstream, Hybrid came into their own in the last couple of years. Their 2010 album Disappear Here gets my vote for best album of the year. This track, Break My Soul is just one of several masterpieces on the album.
