One of the most beneficial and simplest 'medicines' I have ever found i....breathing!!!
No matter what's going on or how I'm feeling physically, emotionally or mentally, stopping to take some deep breaths is a wonderful panacea. It gets me out of my mind, back into the present moment and it balances and heals. Just a couple of deep breaths is sometimes enough, but even better is taking 5 minutes to focus on breathing. I like to count each breath on the exhale, going from one to ten then back to one again. I always feel much better after taking the time to do that.
