Somehow I could see this tune playing as the intro track to that love story indie film I mentioned in the random thoughts thread ... :)
Wow. It's been 20 years...

When I was younger I remember a local man built a boat in his garden, A huge thing, he woked on it for years and years in his garden in a grotty council estate. I used to pass it every day, and one day the council stopped the traffic and moved the boat to the river to test it out, It worked, not sure how far he actually got in it but this song always reminds me of him and his dream...
This is one of Martin's favourite songs and groups!! Love, love, love this song!!!!
Okay, this isn't that old but I felt it should be placed here.

Orchestral rock: Edvard Grieg filtered through the Electric Light Orchestra
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0Bt7_vslAc
Grieg's "In der Halle des Bergkönigs" was composed for Henrik Ibsen's play Peer Gynt, a fantasy play written in verse.
The sequence illustrated by the music of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" occurs when Peer sneaks into the Mountain King's castle. The piece then describes Peer's attempts to escape from the King and his trolls.
Great through headphones.
