Kiran

We sat around the fire, darkness consuming all about us outside the circle....a circle of twelve....entities you could call them but I see them as friends, family. Earth beneath us, fire warming us, air keeping us alive and water quenching us.
Trees form part of the circle as do the stones we sit around along with insects and animals joining our communion. The shells lying on the tide line marking the edge of the sea....I can hear the sounds of fish and creatures of the sea.
Bats fly above feasting on the insects drawn by the light of the fire. Pinpoints of light in the midnight sky join us in our solemn ceremony. I sense her presence, Mother Earth and he joins us, Father Sky. Last of all is heart...the beating sound that joins us all.
A time before time.
She and her husband sit before us....sharing her love and her knowledge. We are all one and yet part of a bigger whole...the Universe. The magic weaving and winding around us.
She gives me her treasures to hold and guard until the time when they are needed. She gives him the key. soon will be time when they must share thier gifts and be all that they are......
