I'm sitting here listening to Enigma's new song, "The Same Parents". It's a very moving song for me. And one I believe that should be required listening for all those who have the ability to hear.

"As a being of power, intelligence and love and the lord of his own thoughts, man holds the key to every situation and contains within himself that transforming and regenerative agency by which he makes himself what he wills."

I think I might be a Buddhist, my actions may make my lives become a heaven or a hell; nothing can really hurt me but myself. Sometimes it feels good to be bad; who knows what that will bring me? Some people think that Karma is like a bank account with a positive and negative balance potential; But I think the Universe dispenses punishement or reward according to what our soul needs. I guess, like the lyrics from Enigma: 'It takes many lives till we succeed.' To clear the debts of many, many hundred years.

My good friend, if it is deemed necessary by the Universe for growth, it is neither punishment nor reward. Simply growth.
In this lifetime are you clearing debt? If I might ask.
Remember, we as Human Beings seek Enlightenment through which we are free of karma.

I lived south of downtown Regina for 12 years, warplanes, private or passenger aircraft have distict sounds to them.
For years at least 9 US military jets flew right over where I lived
heading north,
I was talking about this to my neighbor who has a relative in US airforce,
he had come to visit and my friend asked if he could show him around
town, the airforce guy told him ,no thanks, I know this area like the
back of my hand, we fly over here every day.
Very strange and somewhat scary too, I don't have a clue why they
would survey my city, ecspecially every day....never really found out
why.

Companies that offer free soda-pop, should never be trusted to be good companies; this offering of something free (coffee notwithstanding), usually diminishes the employee in some capacity. Trust me, while you are filling your bottomless cup with coke, your position may be eliminated. Last year while I was playing around in my 'pet-project' aka my flower garden; gave me a really good start on getting my flower garden prepared for this years planting endeavours!

I have been given a number of beautiful plants and have purchased a few myself ... native poppies (yellow), foxglove (pale yellow), poppies (red), native daisies (white), bleeding heart (pink n white), chinese lantern (orange), columbine (deep purple), lilies (reds/yellows/oranges), irises (all colours) ... etc (a few more I can't remember at the moment)

Anyway, what I find strange is (which only occurred to me today) and this is totally unintentional, is that ... practically every plant I have purchased thus far into the season, they are all purple in colour .... why is that?

Maybe it's my artistic subconscious ... saying to me "Well, if you really want to paint with plants; your garden needs colour balance!"

Does that sound right to you guys ... ?

Possibly because every plant that has been given to you is a shade of yellow, so you are subconciously trying to balance it out with the purple.

I've been needing to plant something in the small flower bed around my mail box post-- it was a gorgeous display of huge, double yellow/white daffodils and black (actually very dark purple) tulips this March, but they've more than fizzled out here lately to the point of looking tacky.

also I suppose it would also come down to what you want from it and who your talking too.

Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Larcher_de_Brito) is the real grunter! but this is also interesting:

Sharapova is known for on-court "grunting", which reached a recorded 101 decibels during a match at Wimbledon in 2005. Monica Seles suggested that grunting is involuntary and a part of tennis. When questioned by the media, Sharapova urged the media to put down their notepads, pencils and grunt-o-meters and "just watch the match.

I hope you can imagine what a 101 decibels sound mean!!

Bravery

You don’t get very far in life without having to be brave an awful lot. Because we all have our frightening moments and difficult trials and we don’t have much of a choice but to get through ‘em, and it takes a lot of bravery to do that. The most important thing about bravery is this — It’s not about not being scared — it’s about being scared and doing it anyway — that’s bravery.

http://www.saidaonline.com/en/newsgfx/Heart_Puzzle.jpg

From experience, the feeling of being in love can be a rather deceptive thing. First one must differentiate actually love from simple infatuation. Once one gets past this stage, one may move through a mindfield of bizarre head games -- this can make love seem more of a hell than a heaven. But if one finds the right person (like all of the sides of the puzzle pieces fitting), it can be a good thing.

All in its own good time honey....you have to be prepared to share the love you have before you receive it....like attracts like etc....the more love you give out, the more you recieve.
True Universal love is always with us all...its as much a part of our life force and necessary as breathing is.
Romantic love is transient and can be shallow but the right person awaits all of us and we may have to kiss a few frogs before we find our prince/princess and all that first though....I know I did before I finally met Martin!!

"Life is vanity when given to the aspect of ones wants. Sometimes you need to put them away and realize what one wants only leads to what another cannot have. When another feels like they cannot have ones wants, what one wants becomes a thing of mourning, and in the end, something that everybody hates. So why dwell so deeply, over vanity?"

One cannot help who they fall in love with, but perhaps one can help in what they do with it, but even then that is difficult - when the heart aches inside.

Which is better - say how you feel or keep it to yourself ... ?

To Sorrow

I bade good-morrow,
And thought to leave her far away behind;
But cheerly, cheerly,
She loves me dearly;
She is so constant to me, and so kind:
I would deceive her
And so leave her,
But ah! she is so constant and so kind.

I looked it up. It seems a sail rigging -- perhaps derived from Catamaran and beetle; presumably named bettle (archaic for beetle) because they appear as a beetle's wings when extended. This is the first time that before, intesting trivia. We learn something new every day. Thanks Polly!:)

Not at dead and meaningful a metaphor for life or experience, but I was thinking bout the 58'ers. It was, no doubt, a year for the most creative people who were born.

And it just so happens Kate Bush, also a 58'er, is now 51 today. Where does the time go? It was just 20 years ago I was nothing but a child on my rockin horse only able to fall alseep if her music was playing. Where does the time go?

I just recently started getting into Kate Bush. I fell in love with the singer Bat For Lashes who was compared to Kate Bush so often I had to finally check her out and bought Hounds of Love which I was recommended ages ago by someone. It's brilliant, love it! Can't wait to discover the rest of her work.

Speaking of creative 58ers, Madonna will be 51 next month as well. Just heard her new song Celebration and I absolutely LOVE it. It's as fresh, fun and alive as anything she's ever released. Def my new summer anthem.

Looking up the Lexicon for the Greek scriptures today, and decided to look up the meaning of the name "Jesus."

Interestingly enough, it means, "Jehovah is Salvation."
I looked up the name Jehovah, and that said "Who causes to become."

Thought the cross refference of the meanings was interesting.
