1. It's health INSURANCE reform, not health CARE reform. There will be no 6-month long waits for anything. The only thing that will change is who pays the doctor.

2. I don't see people against health INSURANCE reform complain about public schools, police, firemen, local libraries. I pay taxes to these organizations, but I don't use them. These are all just as socialist as federal health INSURANCE (NOT CARE!). Unfettered, unregulated CAPITALISM is what caused The Great Recession! (Thanks Bushie!)

3. When you repay your public education (k-12, and your collegiate federal student loans) then I will listen to your complaints against federal insurance and socialism.

With all due respect, be it noted, there is a difference between a regulated and a taxed system; regulations on systems can happen without there being taxed, regard. For instance, if a company is regulated because it is in violation of the antitrust rubric imposed by the government, then it incurrs a fine. I think it is necessary not to confuse this issue. To say that one has to pay back public eduation is to say that he should not have been taxed in the first place. The concern of student loans and that of public insurance, is that it diminishes the ability to compete amongst private lenders and insurers; thus, crowding out. The United States was originally built on freetrade and competition. Financial freedom is a corollary of the right to individual happiness -- not to be coerced by the right of the majority. A system that increasingly supports those who live on a welfare system is bound to fail to uphold the freedom of the individual pursuit of happiness.

Somebody asked: ‘Why do you call death a god? Death is the enemy. If you call death the devil it is okay, but why do you call it a god?’ Because death is the door to God. Your death is deeper than your life. When you move through that death consciously, you will come to a life which doesn't belong to you or me or to anybody. It is the life of the whole. Death is God.

Etudes are real pieces of music that can be played for enjoyment as well as for manual dexterity. I do not mean this to be a pedantic musical discourse; but am personally addicted to two musicians' work, who have created some of the best Etudes as well as other good music:

I thought of all those who have passed on from this lifetime. And those who are still very dear to my heart.
The grief remains with me. As I've come to understand that it never truly goes away. We just learn to adapt. Yet still tears are shed from time to time.
All too many.
And for just a moment, the illusion of loneliness comes into mind.
I step out onto my balcony and look out into the sky, and to all the Life which surrounds me. And to my cockatoo who is my 'little baby'.
And I remember I am not alone. I am never alone.
I remember the Universe supports me, and embraces me in divine Universal Love.
And in my heart, I feel true grattitude. For All that has been, All that is, and All that shall ever be.

My random thought which needs venting today is: i don't get how someone can just sever a connection with you...particularly if you were in a relationship with them for 5 years. maybe not totally severed, but the lines of communication have gradually eroded and there's a gulf. maybe it's natural. but i think its sad and my heart is kinda hurting lately.

i'll be with it. and it will heal.

Totally strange. But I used to get this thing which is even stranger. Downright spooky in fact...!

I used to dream of random places I'd never seen before (towns, beaches, certain scenic places like bridges over rivers - quite distinctive, different places). And then, months even years later I'd find myself in a place that gave me a freakishly strong sense of deja vu...and I'd realise that although I'd never physically been in this place (or even seen pictures of it) it was the place I'd seen in my dreams...unmistakably, down to the most minute detail. In other words I'd been there in my dreams before I'd been there in person.

Strange indeed! I used to get really spooked by it!!

As I sit here listening to the first Enigma release I recall how I often listened to it when it was released.
My partner, myself, my best friend and her mother were all going out for brunch as the CD was playing in the car.
My best friend stated that she really enjoyed the music but she couldn't handle it as it reminded her too much of going to mass (she was catholic) and asked if I would please change the music. Laughing, I went ahead and change the CD.
Approximately two months after that my partner, myself, and my best friend were in Cancun on vacation. LOLLOL. And everywhere we went, hehehehe, this CD was being played over and over again.
After that everyone allowed me to select the music we listened to without complaint. LOL.

I'm so proud of the dinner I made tonight! ITs my first time officially cooking Middle Eastern food, and even my roomate loved it! Maybe I can do this cooking thing.....

BTW for the curious at heart: I made CousCous with ground beef in a Tomato-Vodka-Alfredo-Mushroom and Lemon sauce with lots of Celanto, and Parsley, steamed Potatoes, and Pide (Turkish) bread.

IS that random enough? :D

I found this out a long time ago...and it works! I have stopped worrying about things, and I am certainly happier..happy most of the time...since I am not worrying about something I may our may not find out...or what may or may not be happening. Many spend most of their lives fearing this....but, I am not going to say I fear what others think of me...but, I would say I fear what 'certain' people think of me...including my ma, my children..my boss...you know? Other than that...if I were a rich person, that seems to be more...capable and just available to be their true self.....

Elizabeth. I believe the tide is changing...and has certainly changed much. I believe it if people go on with a high degree of confidence and not project what others may feel about them, then it'll be like magic. I have gotten bad vibes from people and my insecurties (I do have them) might have echo back in nervous or uncomfortable vibes. I believe this feedback loop happens more often than we know. Certainly there are people out there with deep-seated prejudices that will judge before, at, and after the drop of a hat. Take the high road; these people aren't worth your time or worry. A while back I saw Maya Angelou on T.V. and I will never forget some words of wisdom she said.
"Never allow people to disrespect you." I don't think she meant to think everything people do is racially motivated; but that it is okay to calmly question peoples' motives if they are unclear to you. If people are coward enough to say something other than what they intended, at least you let them know that there have not been allowed to clearly make their prejudices known...this is like missing a target...and takes the wind out of their sails.
The rest is up to you to seek solidarity in the people who bring you comfort and forget those who are blindly hurtful. It's a hard to do sometimes. Keep the faith; we'll get there one day soon. We have to, the world is getting smaller and smaller. Be to yourself and others. I don't say this in a preachy tone, for I have my faults and am seeking every day to rectifiy them.

definatlely a Frank Spencer moment

Screaming obscenities at the suicase I fell over did no good either..

Oh well these things are sent to test us,

Yeah I am fine, I was in the attic which is waiting to be boarded, tripped over a suitcase and my foot slipped between the joists and trhough the cieling, I grabbed the joists to stop me falling., Now I need to learn plastering lol

Its been one of those days ;)

Did the suitcase have anything to say back to you?

Well in any case, that is certainly a drag - I know, our attic is currently the same way ... no flooring, but where there is flooring, everything is neatly packed and stacked ... still, one must walk gingerly from joist to joist like a cat, while holding onto the rafters above ... it's never fun.

But, lucky you - you know how to do the repairs and you like to decorate so, it's not all bad - I would gladly help you if I could afford the plane ticket!

Hey Dear,

Yep, tonight those lyrics are flowing in me like a lullaby...

It's nice to be able to post once more. When I get my modem sorted and/or replaced (now looking like two more weeks time) I'll be back on full posting status.

LOL. That was funny.

[Feeling sick. Ugh...]

Why are we as men more 'wimpy' when it comes to being ill than women??? Women seem tough compared to us.
Okay, maybe I'm just speaking for myself here.
Ugh...

Because we are equipped to endure more pain and not to mention we carry and give Life to the World.

Hope you feel better soon Michael! I'd heard you were under the weather. Hope you back to feeling much better soon :two hearts:

As for the man/woman sickness thing, we all know the unique phenomenon of "man flu"...LOL. Although I remember a study last year, reported on the news in a tongue in cheek fashion (in fact my sister was stopped on the street an asked to comment on it and made the evening news!), that this is actually a myth and that the latest research says men are more likely to "get on with things" when not well whereas women were more likely to be off sick and spending more time complaining/talking about what was wrong. Don't know whether this was right or not, I don't think any generalisations are that helpful really. I guess it very much depends on one's own constitution!

Where is everyone these days?

Is everyone out and about shopping for the Holiday Season?

Or, better yet, everyone is online - but they're just shopping online, the avoiding all the mad Holiday shoppers?

Or, maybe - it's me - maybe I have scared everyone away .... *Hm?*

Yeah, I reckon - that has to be it - it's me! :girl_yes3 (1):
