Going Organic in the bathroom is a good and healthy thing for everyone, because most cleaning agents contain Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate which is actually really bad for your skin and your overall health!

The Dangers of Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate (http://www.healthy-communications.com/slsmostdangerousirritant.html)

There are plenty of organic products without this bad chemical available from toothpastes to toilet papers, from shampoos to bar soaps and even laundry detergents which will help you feel better!

http://www.tomsofmaine.com
For: Toothpaste, hand soaps and bar soaps.

http://www.alabu.com
For: Hand made goat milk bar soaps and much more.

http://www.shikai.com
For: Shampoos and much more.

http://www.seventhgeneration.com
For: Laundry detergents and toilet paper.

I can personally vouche for all the products listed above ... because I only use these products now.

ENJOY!!! :)

There are a lot you can make very cheaply yourself too Polly! Very cost effective and leave a gorgeous smell.
One of the books mentioned in a previous post - The Fragrant Pharmacy has some great ideas fr around the home.
A lot of skincare can be used from larder/kitchen store cupboard items too and are all natural. There is a thought that what you can eat can be used on your skin too....in other words, if you have an intolerance to a certain food, make sure it isn't in any of your skin care either.
Good thread :)

Hi Polly!
Thanks so much for your order! Yesterday I was collecting Alabu customer testimonials for a testimonial book I am putting together, I read several hundred of them but a few of them always stick out, yours was one of them. I thought it was ironic that I also saw an order from you come across my e-mail inbox today. I hope everything is going well for you and your family. Thanks for trusting us with your skin and have a great day!

I didn't even see the note from you on your last order until just now. Thanks for spreading the word—all the way to Ireland! If you'd like, I can include some soap samples in with your order for you to hand out to your friends. They are small round bars that are about 1/2 an ounce. Just let me know. Have a great day!

I adore the Alabu soap bars you sent us. I have eczema and have large patches of it around my body and since you sent us the bars, I've been using the oat and honey one specifically on the affected areas of my body and it's been really soothing and so much better than all the harsh things I've used in the past. Last ages too which is a bonus! Thanks so much. The affect it has had on my skin is a separate gift in itself.
