Just watching Sky News tonight and a news flash came across the screen saying (unconfirmed reports) Jacko passed away after an cardiac arrest this afternoon. Paramedics were called to his house but didn't find a pulse and were unable to revive him.
The L.A.Times reports he was pronounced dead at 3:15 (local time)

Regardless of the story's about his past I have always loved his music right back to the Jackson 5 and was looking forward to seeing his comeback.

If this news is fact and not a wind up, May he R.I.P

Fawcett excuse me.

May They Rest In Peace.

I think I heard sometime in the '80s that Michael wanted to live to be 150 years old.

I heard in the tabloids that Farrah was battling cancer - I guess it was true.

That is very sad, He has made an amazing contribution to music over the years. I loved the Thriller album when it first came out, may he rest in peace..

I agree, this is sad news indeed ... the Music Industry will never be the same now!

Like all of you, I too loved his music ... hell, I grew up with it and not to mention seeing posters of him plastered all over my sisters bedroom and buying vinyl records .. yes I did say vinyl!!

I hope his spirit is finally at peace! Be well Michael Jackson! :yourock:

I think many of us scorned or made fun of Michael for his extravagances - partly because of his scandals and rumors of alleged child molestation - tied in with the his extreme vanity. I don't think he got the plastic surgery and skin bleaching because he was a vain man - but that he was a very insecure man. This was probably orginally brought about by his father's extreme abuse in pushing his career and his stardom - that robbed him of his childhood. It's no big wonder that he got the Peter Pan syndrome.

My prayers and thoughts are now with his family and especially his children. May they have the chance to be children and enjoy some privacy.

Michael Jackson....may you find the peace you sought in this world.

I was really saddened to hear this. I wasn't personally a big fan of his music but you simply cannot understate what an immense icon he was. I feel he was a wounded soul, an innocent who was persecuted for being different. As great as his outward success was, this world wasn't good to him and I hope he will be at peace now.

What leaves a very bad taste in my mouth is the way that the very same journalists/vultures/media outlets that were intent on destroying him will now be absolutely gushing over how great he was. It seems that in order for our sick media to really appreciate, accept and admire someone without trying to slam, criticise or destroy them...they have to be dead. It's a sad indictment of our society and the mass consciousness.

Peace to him and his family.

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain.. .
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

Aaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaah

What have we done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores

Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaah

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far

Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaaah

Hey, what about yesterday
(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can't even breathe
(What about us)
What about the bleeding Earth
(What about us)
Can't we feel its wounds
(What about us)
What about nature's worth
(ooo,ooo)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us)
What about animals
(What about it)
We've turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us)
What about elephants
(What about us)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us)
What about crying whales
(What about us)
We're ravaging the seas
(What about us)
What about forest trails
(ooo, ooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us)
What about the common man
(What about us)
Can't we set him free
(What about us)
What about children dying
(What about us)
Can't you hear them cry
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
(ooo, ooo)
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
What about babies
(What about it)
What about the days
(What about us)
What about all their joy
(What about us)
What about the man
(What about us)
What about the crying man
(What about us)
What about Abraham
(What was us)
What about death again
(ooo, ooo)
Do we give a damn

Brighter Than Tomorrow
And If You Really Try
You'll Find There's No Need

For You And For Me

If You Want To Know Why
There's A Love That
Cannot Lie
Love Is Strong
It Only Cares For
Joyful Giving
If We Try
We Shall See
In This Bliss
We Cannot Feel
Fear Or Dread
We Stop Existing And
Start Living

Then It Feels That Always
Love's Enough For
Us Growing
So Make A Better World
Make A Better World...

Heal The World
Make It A Better Place
For You And For Me
And The Entire Human Race

And The Dream We Were
Conceived In
Will Reveal A Joyful Face
And The World We
Once Believed In
Will Shine Again In Grace
Then Why Do We Keep
Strangling Life
Wound This Earth
Crucify Its Soul
Though It's Plain To See
This World Is Heavenly
Be God's Glow

We Could Fly So High
Let Our Spirits Never Die
In My Heart
I Feel You Are All
My Brothers
Create A World With
No Fear
Together We'll Cry
Happy Tears
See The Nations Turn
Their Swords
Into Plowshares

We Could Really Get There
If You Cared Enough
For The Living

Hey V! Thank you so much for posting those wonderful MJ videos! :)

And I agree with Lorri! "Michael Jackson....may you find the peace you sought in this world."

THE fact of the matter is that ......
The peace of god and this heaven we search for "lies within"...

Sometimes the most powerful and enlightened beings don't even recognize it...
or know it or should i say "realize the reality of it"...
Its very sad to see that mass consciousness has gotten to the root core of this being and disturbed him...

For he was very very powerful...

May he reside in the heart of the being of light that we have all come from...

Yes, here in America, all of us heard the news early yesterday, and I was at work. There is a lot of mixed feelings, but I do know for me...and my generation (those in their 30's) Michael Jackson has been an extremely huge part of our lives....especially African Americans (black)....I am very hurt...as if I knew him. I understand that death can be a passageway or not necessarily "the end" yet, in his physical form, he will be severely missed! It just seems too soon......way too soon.....wow.

And Farah, and Ed McMahon.....it's is hard to have three major celebraties die in such short period of time...such a shock!!! Yet Michael was such a surprise....I mean, many of us dreamed of at least catching a glimpse of him...just walk pass him or something.....now, I know I never got to see him in person and now he is no longer on this realm.....this is certainly sad.

This is the big one for me celebrity wise....I mean in my generation, in my culture, you know we had biggie, and Tu Pac, and Ray Charles, and Gerald Levert, and many many more.....but, this was so unexpected and even though it may seem that we didn't love him because we (americans) made so much fun of him....but, many of us actually do love him....and as far as I know (blacks) we still have all his cd's and most of us even have the original vinyl... Some think we gave up on him, but no......no.......no....even the most hardest hardcore hip hop fan would have Michael Jackson in their music collection and have sampled or remade many many Michael Jackson music. Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo and many many more have all been influenced till this day from Michael Jackson........Michael truely let his light shine, let his soul express hisself through dance and singing.....he was truely amazing! Although there are things I would never understand about him such as him changin his beautiful brown skin..........I never understand, but even with that....we didn't hate on him because of it (blacks) and we still love him...there is nothing anyone can do to take Michael Jackson away from us.....until now....but, his music will live with us.....it will surpass most of us...as we live and leave this realm...Michaels music will continue for many, many years!!!

All Michaels CD's were sold out at my store last night.......and I was trying to go get the last one, but a customer got to it before me. I watched a customer purchase a cd, and I looked to see the songs on it, and it had yes Oceanentity...one of my favorites as well BEN....... I have a Michael Jackson collection, but I don't have BEN.....so, I will make sure that my collection is complete from here on now.

This makes me concerned about the love I have for another artist (Micheal Cretu) in knowing that we all leave this realm (die) and if something were to happen to Cretu, man this stuff hurts!!! I don't want to have to experience this again no time soon. Not that I am wishing or even thinking of Cretu dieing...just trying to make a point. That once you love someone, of if they touch your life in some way.....when they leave here, no matter how emotionally strong.....mentally strong.....and even spiritually strong.....death and the emotions of saddness is not an easy thing to go through...yet it is part of life :lovemw:

Police want to interview Michael Jackson's doctor after the star's family suggested he died because of a drug overdose, according to reports.

The King of Pop suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Holmby Hills and was taken to the UCLA medical centre where he was pronounced dead.

Tmz.com said Jackson received a daily injection of Demerol, a synthetic narcotic similar to morphine, but was given "too much" on Thursday.

Los Angeles police want to talk to the doctor - who lived at the star's home and administered his injections - but he has not yet been found, the entertainment website said...

Man In The Mirror

Gotta make a change
For once in my life
It's gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right

As I turned up the collar on
A favorite winter coat
This wind is blowin' my mind
I see the kids in the street
With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind
Pretending not to see their needs

A summer's disregard
A broken bottle top
And a one man's soul
They follow each other
On the wind ya' know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change, yey
Na na na, na na na, na na na na oh ho

I've been a victim of
A selfish kinda love
It's time that I realize
There are some with no home
Not a nickel to loan
Could it be really pretending that they're not alone

A willow deeply scarred
Somebody's broken heart
And a washed out dream
(Washed out dream)
They follow the pattern of the wind ya' see
'Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that change

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Man in the mirror, oh yeah)
I'm asking him to change his ways, yeah
(Change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change
You gotta get it right, while you got the time
'Cause when you close your heart
(You can't close your, your mind)
Then you close your mind

(That man, that man, that man)
(That man, that man, that man)
(With the man in the mirror, oh yeah)
(That man you know, that man you know)
(That man you know, that man you know)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself then make that change

I was down in Atlantic City spending the evening at my cousin's place when some family in Florida called me..what a complete shock. Such a surreal feeling.

Today, I was in Queens, in the airport as my cousin was leaving for Australia, and they were blasting his music from the shoppes... again, it was quite surreal. Going home, from the street corners, to the brownstone, to the top windows, his music was being played... it's too weird to digest.

(((( michael and family freinds and his fans))))

i have been watching it on CNN and so on..as my 11 yr old son has been....well enjoying it..as such in one way..because they keep playing his songs..and showing his videos and such...i will say i have been impressed with the way they have been handling it all aswell..saying things like there is time for other issues ..the why's hows etc.,.later..now is a time to remember what he has contributed to the world. my son was impressed with that aswell.

and as we all know there will be a lot more to come yet..but for now..in my home at least we are talking about him and his spirit, my son asked today...will he (michael) go to his own funeral and would he be watching eveything that is happening now .....to which i replied yes...

we are very open about the spirit world in our home..and even so.there is still that ..human part of us that is grieving and watching everything unfold with some disbelief.

i wish all things good for his children ...especialy...they have long road ahead for them.....(((( bless the kids))))

(((((michael)))))
We are the World
There comes a time
When we head a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can't go on
Pretneding day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of
God's great big family
And the truth, you know love is all we need

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Send them your heart
So they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stone to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

When you're down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There's no way we can fall
Well, well, well, well, let us realize
That a change will only come
When we stand together as one

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

I do believe that there are no accidents. When it's our time to go, we go. Fate will conspire in any way to precipitate our departure. I guess Michael had done all he had come here to do. I somehow had a feeling that in spite of all the publicity, those comeback concerts wouldn't happen. I didn't know why, but I just knew it wouldn't happen...

I'm fascinated by the strength of feeling - even people I knew who would use to make mean-spirited and crass jokes about him appear to be touched and are now seeing him in a more positive light. I hope that is how this wounded soul will be remembered, for the contribution he brought to the world. Maybe it will make people a little more open-hearted and less judgemental. We can but hope.
