Make sure you get a licence for that and a copyright protection. You don't want anybody to steal your idea. ;)

First i need another cup of coffee, i just got up. :coffee:
Besides being here on the board i'll be testing the new Ubuntu version on my old laptop. Yep i'm still into Linux, another hobby of mine. Got 3 systems here, 2 laptops and an iMac. The iMac with Mac Os X Tiger and Logic Express 8 is for my music creation, the new laptop with Vista is for music creation in Acid Pro 6, Soundforge 9 and some other stuff. A sort of mobile studio, nice when you go on vacation and have some ideas. I also collect and play the original and custom build Tomb Raider games on that. And the old laptop (i'm amazed that it's still alive and running) is as i said for testing and playing around with Linux.

Yep, that's true. But i've changed in many ways my friend. I worked bloody hard for the extra money to buy two more systems and it was worth it.

I got the iMac a year ago, i believe it was end October. I kept working for some extra money to buy Logic Express a week before Christmas. The new laptop i bought last June, also from working overtime. :D

Yep, i'm still into that OS and learned a lot since the last time. I got addicted to it somehow.

Tomb Raider rocks!!! I love the exploring part, solving puzzles and so on. Can't wait for the latest new Tomb Raider game "Underworld" which will be released in 9 days. Gonna enjoy that one my Xbox 360. :D
You should try some of the custom build games if you are interested. There are some awesome build games around. Just let me know, i can give you a list of those games which i highly recommend and are worth playing.
As i said they are in the style of the old TR games but build so well with the Tomb Raider Level Editor that came with the last old original TR game "Chronicles" made by Core/Eidos. The best part is that they are free for download.

Hehehehe, i finally managed to create a Live USB startup disk with Ubuntu on my flashdrive that i bought yesterday. So i have the operating system on it and i'm able to plug it into any Pc and even run it from the usb flashdrive. How cool is that!!! I'm also able to install the system from it to the pc or laptop. It's also possible to save files on to the drive while working with the Live system, that later can be copied if wanted onto any harddrive.

Well, just got home from work, about to cook dinner, help the kids with homework....munch while I cook, watch tv while I cook, and when I am done....eat some good food!..mmmm, oh yeah, I can cook! Well, I like my cooking anyway...and I have the munchies for some reason. Maybe it's because it's a chilly, rainy day....and I don't have to work out because I am still recovering from the marathon (my leg feels like I might have a small tear in my quad), and I don't have too much to do this evening to the point that I feel relaxed. I actually enjoy cooking, and I bought an apple pie, and some French Vanilla Ice cream....See, this is why I put on a few pounds during the colder months. It may even be instinctual...I guess...I think my body may want some fat stored....LOL

Well, I certainly hope everyone is having or had a great day today!

I'm going to sleep now, I just moved in to my new room, a lot to do and I'm not done just yet, I'm tired, it is the first time I get to sleep alone, usually I shared my room with my mom and brother, since my cousins decided to move away from our house there's plenty of rooms to choose to and I did, I was so excited at first but now that I'm alone in here I feel that something's missing, I have more privacy now and I can get as emotional and sensitive and cry as I want to. Don't know what you got till is gone, they say, and also be carefull what you wish for cause you may get it, also applies to my actual situation, but I have to learn to deal with it, at least I'm still at the same house is not like I'm moving away for good.

Well its all about learning Mary and I do understand how you feel. My partner had to work away for 18 months and only came home weekends. I hated being on my own but eventually I got used to it and now enjoy my 'me time'. I love that I can do what I want to whenever I want to. Also privacy is a rare thing these days so enjoy, re-decorate as you want and turn it into your own little sacred space. A few nice candles, some flowers and nice pictures always help I find :)

I totally agree with you Lorri, 'Me Time' is so invaluable and making it your 'own little sacred place' has it's place in your life!!

You know....I actually, sometimes miss my days in Westerly, RI *I lived there for a whole year, I was just minutes away from the beach...and I luuvre the beach!!*...My rituals are what I miss most,....like taking a long walk on the beach on a typical freezing nasty wet cold New England day and coming home, playing some ENIGMA, lighting some tea candles, and fussing in the studio or watching a movie. I was completely alone, completely single, and I was going through some sad times, but just having me, my job, and my studio, taught me so much about myself! So, in retrospective, it was great time and I wouldn't trade it for anything! :)

So, Mary, have some tea, light some candles, listen to a little bit of ENIGMA and enjoy yourself during this time of change!! :)

The bill that i got last time with the former pack that i had was 150 euro's. My wife called too much to her family in Albania and England.

So to reduce the costs a bit i just contacted my provider after doing a test on their website which pack wouldbe the best for me. I know Albania isn't a country that belongs to the EU yet but still it's a lot cheaper for us now to call them over there.

I'd just get Skype in and the phones bills would be nil as Skype to Skype calls are always free!!! I do love Skype.

Still €48 for all that, I'm paying that just for the darn Internet!:Eeksign: Not joking...

Me no like Skype, i tested it once somewhere in 2006 but it didn't work so well back then. Could also been a pc problem of course. Don't know....

 You pay that much for just internet..... Well, i did so too, €63 with my former pack just for internet. Sum that up with €18 for the phone and you have the total costs for the pack that i used. No calls made!!!

just so you know, you don't need a PC to use Skype, My Skype phone is just plugged into the network router so no pc needed at all, also have line line plugged in there too so it works as a home phone too. Skype has come a long way in the last few years (i've had it some times now) Hell I even have it one my mobile phone!

Yep internet is nuts over this way but it's the best we can get and still that's only a 7mb line! Being robbed for sure.

Mr B
November 19th, 2008, 05:18 PM
Ah, thanks for the info.

Say what?? A 7Mb line? Geez, it's for sure that you are being robbed.
In the Netherlands they have a fast line and even unlimited download capacity.

Over here in Belgium the download limit depends on which pack you have. Express Net, the one that i use now has a download capacity of 30GB, Turbo Net is 60GB per month.

By the way, how's your back today GT?

Well, I am busy in the studio...of course...I only have one more painting to finish...*yeah*...and then, when the shop is free, I'll finish up my framing, slap the paintings in place, and then run off to the gallery! I am shooting for early next week...the gallery wants to get the 'ThanksGiving' crowd...

...you know us Americans and 'ThanksGiving'.......let the manic X-Mas discount shoping begin...

Hey, GT, when you're back feels better and there is no pain.......perhaps you could start by doing some stretching and incorporating an ab and lower back workout, whenever you have about 15 mins. (Of course I have no idea if you workout at all?)....Also, minding your posture can help too...*you can do that when you're driving*. Keeping your abs strong helps to maintain a strong back.

Well, that's just my 2 cents...and I hope you feel better! :)

Yeah, I totally know what you are talking about....

I had job working as a groundskeeper on a spanky estate for 2 years and I worked physically hard for 2 years...trimming trees, pulling brush, raking leaves, mowing the decorative lawns, using a wood chipper, moving furniture, plaster repair, interior house painting, walking miles all over the estate, *we even built a barn!*...needless to say I was in rockin' shape! BUT, the thing about that type of 'working-out' is, it's not systematic and it's uneven.

So, I did a counter-balance work-out, before work I would work-out my abs/arms *he-he, while listening to ENIGMA* and then after work I would walk 2>4 miles.....and I never encountered any back pains, *a worry of mine because I am tall!*

Anyways, if you work hard....stretching is always a good thing....:)

Looks great GT. :)

First i need to wake my brain up.... coffee loads of coffee, that's what i need now. :morning2 :coffee:

Got to work on some tracks today for a TR custom game. When these are finished i have another huge project waiting for me. This time i have to create/record a complete soundtrack for a game which will take a long time to build though. I not talking about 1 or 3 songs but a lot more.

I had a thread up on the forum i'm on concerning the levelbuilders and the music for months now, even posted a short demo of a track i made. They were amazed by it but however after all those months nobody contacted me to create music for their games.

So i came up with another idea, i picked the best levelbuilders and i sent, up to now, two of them a PM and asked if they where interested in having their own original music for their games instead of using tracks from the original TR games over and over again. People get tired of this, so i've heard and that's why i started this project. Of course i didn't push them, all i said was to give it a thought and that they are free in this choice.

I got to get myself promoted and draw the attention from the levelbuilders somehow. I want this project to lift off and grow over time. So this was the best thing to do for now.

I'm happy to hear that your Pc is working better now. The slow or not loading of MW in your internet browser can be caused by the server, which is backing up. GT told me that yesterday or say last night, i really can learn a lot stuff from him. He's a great teacher.

Well, I've been playing Tomb Raider Underworld until 5:30 this morning. Have to say it is absolutly amazing. I'm totally blown away by it. But I have to say that there is only one thing that bugs me a bit, the camera movement isn't that great sometimes. Overall I'm enjoying the game.

I even like the new features on the Xbox 360 after the update, the interface is beautiful. I also can install TR Underworld on to the harddrive of the Xbox but i need a bigger one because i only have 7GB left on it and TRU takes up 6,9GB.

If some of you are planning to buy TRU for the Pc be sure you have a very and i mean very strong computer.

Recommended System Requirements :

OPERATING SYSTEM: Microsoft Windows XP (admin rights required)/Microsoft Windows Vista (admin rights required)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or Athlon 64 X2 4400+

RAM: 2 GB system memory

GRAPHICS: nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX or ATI HD4800

SOUND: Direct X 9.0c compatible sound card and drivers

DVD-ROM: DVD-ROM drive

HARD DRIVE: 8 GB Free Space

INPUT DEVICES: Microsoft Xbox360 Controller

God's Toy

The TR games have always been a bit of a PC killer, I mean just needing a Core 2 and 2GB RAM is saying a lot.

Having said that I would not run any game on recommended specs alone, I found you need your system to be well above that to get full enjoyment out of any game now.

An Nvidia 8800 G92 (or better) and 4 GB RAM (Using XP/Vista 64 OS) work really well for that and most new games out now.

Loving the new Xbox UI too, games are coming out now that you can use your avatar as a player in the game it's self!

You can just see my own Xbox 360 Avatar (seen here, created by me!) being the star in games now eh? lol

Okay, now i am really pissed off. I'm going to have a little chat with our neighbours, they are walking like elephants all day and night through the apartment above us. This is not normal.

They have a few choices: Or they can keep it calm or they have visit from the police or they have trouble with me big time.

I asked a few times now very kindly if they could keep it calm because we can hear everything. The house isn't isolated well so....
How they walk, geez, it sounds like a subwoofer here.

I woke up to my mom's screaming (or a shock i would say)....someone stole the steel taps in our balcony....it's complete stupidity on our part,we left the bathroom unlocked....it will be more appropriate to put it this way...'we lost our taps' :(

And then the newspaper read 'war on Mumbai' ......'Oh no not again'

it's ain't over yet........a neighbor hanged himself cos of debts....he was in his early thirties....i feel frustrated....coward :(

:) But i had something to cheer about......my friend came over for chatting online for the first time :friends:

I've been busy with creating images (ISO, nrg) of some game cd-roms so that i can mount them in a virtual DVD-rom drive on my laptop. I was tired of the noise that comes from the drive and that the games freeze from time to time when the cd is accessed.

Have to say that it works great. No more noise from the original drive, no more games that freeze. It's just like if the games are fully installed onto the Pc's hard drive. Plays very smooth and it saves your original cd/dvd-rom discs from getting dirty or damaged by scratches.

Hi,

Right now we have 915,967 members, using 2,166,423 (http://www.allprojectstats.com/top.php?projekt=15&type=0) Computers, across 233 Countries submitting data to the SETI project.

As long as I have a PC in this lifetime I will devote it's unused CPU clock cycles to hopefully finding ET or maybe something even better one day.

My account (over the last 8 years) has processed 78,084 workload units.

The cool thing is the program that SETI@home uses 'Boink' can be used for so many other worth while projects too, have a look here for more on that:

Cool if your joining up, let me know if you have any questions ok? :)

Just a tip for you:
Some people have it set to use 100% CPU all the time but then complain it's slowing down the PC when they want to use it. My suggestion is If you dont want it running while your using your PC You can have it set to only run as your screen saver. Or you can do what I do and set the amount of processing power (or number of Cores, if you have more than one, CPU or PC) it can use at one time so not slowing down your Computer. You can also right click on the BOINK icon and put it to sleep at any time if you need to.

Today, I will begin my journey of detangling my mind which has become wrapped up in a cob web full of thoughts seeping with despair and destitute.

I will free my mind and let my spirit fly once again, where it likes to be!

*as she whips out her invisible sword, which holds magicial powers of positive thinking and progressive productivity!* with maximium damage!

Un guard! Take that and that! You nasty thoughts, how dare you come into my presence! I will not be poisoned by negativity and bitterness! No, no says she, I rule my mind! :)

For the coming days i'll be busy with recovering, not feeling too well. After that when i am feeling better i'm about to make plans for the future.

I want to give up my current job, after 17 years working in two different zinc factories with chemicals, metal and stuff i just had enough of it all. The job has become too heavy for me and it doesn't pay that well. The money doesn't compensate with the work i have to do, my life and health are more important to me.

It's time for a change.

Have my first day at work after almost two weeks of holidays (including two working days it was, however..)...
But.... next to shaking hands and the usual new years greetings, I just heard I passed an exam I need for my work...!!
It was a very difficult one, it contained lots and lots of pages and I succeeded...Yay!!:girl_yes3 (1):

Feels so good to spam this message to the MW board..!! :Hbounce

You think!!! He wouldn't let me go near him with anything he has to taste or smell!!! lol But I do my magic/reiki on him when he's asleep!!! Thanks Sean...I do feel sorry for him as he is really sick when he actually stays in bed!!! He's one of these that has to get up and feel he's doing something.
Hope you're on the mend now honey?

Well I thought I was on the mend Lorri, didn't feel too bad yesterday and thought I had beat the little virus into surrender, unfortunately last night whilst I was asleep the little bleeders launched a counter strike and now I am back in snot city without a lem-sip..

I need some fresh air and a hot bath, that should make me feel human again :)

Aah poor you!! Put some essential oils in the bath...ideally a bit of tea tree, sandalwood and lavender...couple of drops of each...tea tree will help clear the bug and the others will soothe you :)

Last night was my first day of school, it was a class for Tech writing...and tonight I will go to my math class. The teacher for the tech writing class will include a grade for class participation...and I am great at that! Actually, last night was probably overkill!...LOL I went to class, and my hand was up the whole time...I just love participating in class! and I love writing! we will see how math goes this evening? hmmm, well, anyway, I also have an online class, and my cd drive is not working....(I should post this in the computer thread) but, I have to download this software onto my computer...so, today, I guess I will be pricing some cd drives?

I can only imagine how ardent and exuberant you are in class! :)

Well, it's back in the studio again for me, after my nice visual break! Even tough my future schedule seems overwhelming at times I do have more of a peace of mind these days. And, boy, do I have a lot and I mean A lOTof work to do! And to think, I was fretting over doing for the work for the X-Mas show, well that was nothing compared to what I am facing now!

FREAK OUT, FREAK OUT!!

No, I am just joking, I've been working on a practical plan and my mind has calmed down now...he-he!

Anyway, the reason for this silly fuss is, my sister (who is a fine art photographer) and I, are going to have a 'sister' show together in a gallery that represents both of our works, in May..........*my god, that's only 3 1/2 months away*...and I just started working on work for the show, this week! AH! Plus, I have to do separate work for the summer....well, I know I am capable and I am up for the challenge, (it'll certainly make the winter wizz by) and challenges are always good! So, I'll be in studio a lot once again, which is good! :)
