Anybody like Reggae music? I grew up listening to a lot of reggae back in the days. Was probably the first music I used to use to chill out to. I loved early UB40, Bob Marley and Dennis Brown.. Most of the tracks I loved were reggae covers of well known songs that sounded much better to a Reggae beat

A few of my favorites

Lady - Wayne Wade (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=afrXc4ODb9c) (probably my favorite reggae track ever)

Sad Movies - Cynthia Schloss
Money in my Pocket - Dennis Brown
Police and Theives - Junior Marvin
Try Again - Wayne Wade
Side Show - Barry Biggs
Silly Games - Janet Kay
Tomorrow people - Ziggy Marley

UB40 - The "Signing Off" album

Anything By Bob Marley

OMG Sean!!! You have really taken me back in time to the days of ska etc in the early 80's etc!!! I loved Dennis Brown and The Abyssinians. I grew up listening to the old Blue Beat Reggae which my older sister loved...Judge Dread etc etc...oh that tweaked some real memories and gave me a little tear thinking how much my sister loved all types of reggae and stuff :)
Good tears and memories though honey :) Thanks :)

your welcome Lorri ;) Just for you, Dennis Brown - Money In My Pocket (12 inch) (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nyx26gO8tyk)

how cool was the 12" of this. (I still have all these records somewhere)

If you go to certain pubs/clubs were I live they still play a lot of old style reggae and Ska, Going to town for a night out is like traveling in a time machine, just pick your choice of music and go :) can be pretty cool when im feeling nostalgic ;)

I remember seeing so many groups in East London where I used to live many years ago in the live venue pubs long before they became famous! Thanks again honey :)

I love raggae! I love bass....I love Bob Marley! :)

I have not been listening to raggae lately, because here in the south they don't play it much. But, I totally went through a raggae phase where that was all that I listened to. I had some Jamaican friends make mix tapes for me, and I just totally fell in love with it. Hip hop get some of it's roots from raggae. Especially from Bob Marley. And they have also combined the two sometimes.

Me too! Although I've been more into Damien Marley's stuff, I am a huge Matisyahu and Joseph Israel fan.
