Hello christophersa! Welcome to Mysterious Wisdom! :)

I, for one, adore green tea!! If, I could drink green tea all day long, I probably would ...

I'm a pretty active person, I love working out; aerobics, yoga, running, biking, hiking etc ... I believe in being strong physically. My point in all this is ... when I go for a run in the winter, afterwards, I always make myself a nice cup or two of green tea, which I steep deeply! There is something so purifying and calming about it .... that I can't imagine not ever drinking green tea, I drink every drop! :)

Great topic!! :)

Welcome Christopher :)

Green tea is an essential drink, although took me a long time to develop a taste for it. It seems to be all in the brewing - if the water is just off the boil it creates too bitter a taste, so I always let the water sit for a few mins before pouring. I also find the infusions with added fruit - orange, or the apple and pear one I recently found, make it more palatable for me.

Let's not forget it's underrated cousin, white tea. Although green tea gets all the hoopla, white tea is actually even better for you -- and I actually prefer the taste of it too. Check out white tea! :D

Oh yes ... we must not forget White Tea! White Tea certainly is softer in flavour though holds a great punch in goodness power! :girl_yes3 (1):

I highly recommend The Republic of Tea (http://www.republicoftea.com/default.aspx?crcat=branding~republicoftea&crsource=adwords&crkw=republic%20of%20tea&crcampaign=8291457963&gclid=CK2KncGTj64CFUHc4AodVD58fA), for an excellent variety in different and yummy teas!

I like Green Tea very much, Mao Feng being my favorite blend, because of the prominent freshness. Some blends of green tea are so strong that you can use one "spoon" of it all day long and just pour more hot water over it, but as one might imagine these blends are the most expensive.

If you have some time, I strongly encourage everyone to look for specialty shops that only sell teas and such, also believe it or not they are not more expensive then local supermarket blend, but have much higher quality.

Hey Samael, welcome back stranger! I agree, it's good to find a quality brand of tea beyond the usual brands stocked by supermarkets and such. I can't remember if I mentioned it before but I love the Yogi Tea range, they have some great green teas. They're quite hard to find outside of specialist shops so I often have to order it online, if I'm feeling like treating myself :)
