Music can sometimes make a film or TV show what it is, and if you add a good soundtrack to a great story the result can be an amazing sensory experience, Like Blade Runner for example, the haunting Vangelis soundtrack adds to the whole experience, from the main titles and the sublime Love Theme (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=C9KAqhbIZ7o) to the amazing final scene on the rooftop Tears in rain (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pw6D_QfsmUY&feature=related). This has been one my favorite films for a lot of years.

I have lots of soundtracks from movies, sometimes just the odd track is amazing sometimes the whole soundtrack. One of my personal favorites is the "Lord of the rings" trilogy, Howard shore who composed the score has also produced music for many other films, LOTR Its has some amazingly beautiful pieces of music in it, such as this one A storm is coming (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SbaeNin6JbY) there are not many vocalists involved (not that thats a bad thing) but when there are they are all superb tracks,

May It Be - Featuring Enya (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ww8wqEgFIA8)
Into The West - Performed By Annie Lennox (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=24fGmWG6kpg)
Gollum's Song - Performed by Emilia Torrini (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WL_gZARR3Sw)

and my favorite Arwens Song (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ldGv7SWYvXI)

There are lots more complete soundtracks and single tracks I love.

This is one of my favorites from the second series of the new Doctor Who, an amazing scene and a great piece of music to complement it - Doomsday (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=z8DURP5xQCA)

Do you have any soundtracks you are particularly fond of?

Not much on the theme of the movie, but I've always loved the Stigmata soundtrack.
Especially since it featured AfroCelt Sound System and Chambawamba on it.

Both awesome bands if you ask me.

Oh YES!!

The film : LEGEND : was originally released with two different soundtracks...one; for the UK theatrical version (which includes singing by Mia Sara) and two; for the US theatrical version (which was done by Tangerine Dream)....if IF, I had seen the UK version of LEGEND first, there is no way it would have made the impact on me as it did with the Tangerine Dream soundtrack......WOW......what a difference, music can make!!

Some great choices there, love "Tangerine Dream" very chilled out, and the Whole Titanic soundtrack by by James Horner is beautiful and really adds to the movie.. especially "A life so changed" and "unable to stay unwilling to leave"

Moya brennan has an amazing voice love that track

As for " Eye of the Tiger" I was in a night club recently and at the the end of the night after playing 2 bit dance music all night the DJ played "Eye of the tiger" and everyone went mental :D I am a big fan of the rocky films, watched them all recently, my favorite track is No easy way out (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=y6e-8WpUj04) from Rocky 4.

Stigmata is a film I have always wanted to see but never got around to it..maybe I should check it out.

One soundtrack I really do like is "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence by" Ryuichi Sakamoto

Ever see the movie called "They Live" It's when they can see the extraterrestrials through the sunglasses (lol) and it had Rowdy Roddie Piper...anyway, during that movie...it had the same beat....throughout the entire movie. I have always asked myself...was this just an easy way out? Well, the first several times I watched it, I guess I didn't pay it any attention....then one day, my cousin and I were watching it (it's one of our favorites) and we just noticed the soundtrack, and it was sort of funny...it was I don't know, actually, probably started getting a little anoying....LOL

Anyway, if Enigma is on a soundtrack...that would be the best one for me :)
