There are two good programs I found to protect your privacy,
one is called peer gaurdian, and the other ghost surf,
I guess peer guardian doesn't even let your isp what you are doing :)
:gathering:
To try and make a long story short, I ran into this girl and she knew
every name of the people I talked with on "mystic wisdom",even pretended
to be a few of them, it boggled my mind to no end untill I found
out she works for "mental health", or as we call them, the thought police,
and they didn't like me exposing things they do, so I hope these programs
help with things like that.
Peace and Freedom,
DangerBird.

It's all about big bro my friend and you can always be sure they are watching all things web related, it's the way of things in this paranoid world.

You will never have a day where the webpage you visited or email sent was not recorded by something.

Looking over the MW logs I can see who is using what browser, what OS, what country they come from, the IP address of that computer they are using I can even see the words used in Google to find us here.
This is not a bost on my part, it just the way of things on the internet and if I can see this much just think how much a Big Brother is able to see...It's simply the way of things.

I think most of us are familiar with that story, which is pretty bad,
but from where I stand, I think things are worse than what was projected.
Sometimes I try to tell myself that I'm just being paranoid about something,
It enventually proves true, some of the things I have run across are way to
big for one man to tackled, but I try to my best when writing, be it music
or a book, and hope that this awareness is some kind of help,
Peace, over.

First software you mentioned is free by the way [if anyone is wondering] and is not using a lot of system memory, so I recommend everyone to install it for virus / Trojan or any safety reason, but be sure to read instructions and everything related to program before you do. This is specially important for everyone who is online 24/7 [or some of their programs]. I also recommend installing any antivirus and spy removal programs. My favorite antivirus is AVG Free, its free [LOL] and it also uses very little memory. As for spy removal program you can download one via Google with their software pack. Also if you use Gmail, also you can disable web history and make a good password for all your accounts.

I was watching a TV show about SPAM and I was surprised just how much people are not informed about internet safety. I know it sounds silly, but you really need to educate people [old and specially young] that internet is not safe and how to behave online, which information to give or not..

As for BB, I think its good that some part of internet is monitored because of child pornography which is a horror of internet these days, but I hope that no one is exploiting personal information and I'm pretty sure that people working these kind of jobs know what they are doing and that only select few can do this job. Also, I don't know, but I think this is regulated by every country separately ...

BTW, what is Rep Power ?

I'm certainly not going to try and justify child pornography, obviously the
product of hell, but if my neighbor gets arrested for drugs, I don't think that
gives the police just cause to search every house on the block - they are both things we could live without, this spying and this porn.
Our fundemental rights are at stake here.

18 months ago i ran a search for a schematic of the southern california power grid to help me identify a tie in for a solar farm I was developing for a bid. Never found it, but was visited by homeland security for my troubles who wanted to know why i was interested in the power grid.

That would get me worried too, kinda funny how these dept.'s use these
names that are far too innocent than what they really do,
I don't want to give you false hope, but in my provence there is a clause
in the power bill that let's you decide if you want to use solar power,
it's a bit more costly, but I was still glad to see some effort in that
direction that is much less of a burden on our planet.
I don't know where you live, but perhaps a petition of some sort may help.
My guess is that some people are trying to protect thier monetary investments - I think we have all heard that there are many ways to help
the earth that are being kept out of the public eye - it's a sad thing when
there really are very easy roads to take, as you mentioned - but are being
slandered or ignored by those holding power, best wishes to you.
Peace and Love,
DangerBird.

Hey mister...back up now!...LOL (J/K) are you getting a little too much information? Hey, so you can see all this even for the visiting guests?

Mr B

Yes, we can see the IP adress, which OS and browser a member or guest uses. :)

Yep sure can. Mods can see Ip's and basic related user info, Super mods can see more, this is for security reasons.
Anyone that runs a website will tell you they can see user stats info. Your hosts compliles it for you in weekley or monthly reports so you can see how your website is doing in the real world, where people are coming from, what they are doing while there, and how offtin they come back. plus more.

Have a look here to see the kinda info I'm talking about.

I figured this..... so, it is some sort of tracking cookie? Ummm, I just had some viruses removed from my computer...now, I am starting to wonder about the websites I visit?

God's Toy
December 9th, 2008, 03:53 PM
Nope not a tracking cookie, we dont use them here. The server just holds on to your IP address for the session your on the website, it records the movements and adds them to the stats, it does not know who is so and so as to it, your just data.
It's how all websites work everywhere. The ones that use tracking cookies are the ones you really should not be going too... But I suppose if we knew who used them and blocked them all they would just find another way to spy on us...

I don't know....something is wrong here? I just got my computer back home...and I have been to my e-mails, to MySpace, to this other site called Tagged, and as soon as I typed in MysteriousWisdom.com, and clicked on the one that sais Powered by Vbulliten.....it brought me to a pop up, or some other site. The way I got here was by clicking on the link in my e-mail. So, it seems that something is trying to hijack me whenever I try to come here?

Oh, wait...I got to all those sites through the link in my e-mails.....I don't know, but, I am busy now, got to check this out.....I don't think my computer is cured?.....I think they just treated the pain???...hmmm? they said they wiped the viruses off....I think maybe, I have to uninstall something...? I don't know, I am going to call them.....

I read in a old buddest text, "never do anything in private you would not
do in public"
This would pretty much keep you safe, unless they really want you and
make up lies ,frame you or somthing.
Perhaps there was a similar situation when that was written.

Peace and love,

SoulChild my sweet angel,

What webbrowser do you use? If its IE 7 bin it and install FireFox 3. FireFox is more secure then IE.

What kind of anti virus program do you run? Whatever it might be, even AVG, just bin that also. Download and install Avast Home Edition from this site.

http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

It's completely free.

Third i would recommend another free program called Advanced SystemCare 3 from Iobit. This little program tracks down spyware, like tracking cookies, and removes them. It also checks your Pc's security settings, solves some other problems and keeps your Pc some more secure. It can be downloaded from iobit.com.
