Ever listened to his album "Guitars"? Now that's a special one for me because everything you hear on this album from beats to synths, basses and so on is done with guitars. Yes, even the beats and synths are actually guitars, recorded and transformed completely with samplers, sequencers. Amazing what one can do with technology eh?

Not 100% sure Gen, DJ Bobo has worked with Sandra in the past so maybe it is, according to discogs its Christiane Hebold (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Bobo+(3)), I dont know maybe they got it wrong. I first heard this Loneliness track on the Blank and Jones Relax 2 album.

Thats the rap I grew up on...the rap of my generation....thats why I hold on to it so tight...don't want to let it go...but, with some of the new stuff....I almost gave up on it...but, then I feel that big things will start happening....hopefully, if the big guys in rap now play their part, and set the standards...like they say they will do because..... well, one of the reasons anyway....and according to what they say, is because Obama is Presedent (elect)...:thanks:

Just rediscovered 'Du måste finnas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLrAkQKC2Vc)', sang by Helen Sjöholm, written by Björn and Benny (the ABBA guys). This is a song from 'Kristina från Duvemåla' (Kristina from Duvemala) a musical they wrote around 15 years ago that is about Swedish refugees in America during the 19th century (if I'm not mistaken). Last time I read bout it it was on its its way to Broadway, I get so thrilled every time I listen to it, is is so beautiful. Oh, and translation is featured in the video for those of you who doesn't understand Swedish. ^^;

Thanks Tzvika for sharing, that was a very nice tune! :)

I always loved this mix -a lot-!!

When hearing this one for the first time (my new single at that time) I was playing this song on repeat one, while watching a great movie about ocean-divers.

No, they were not the common ocean-divers but the ones who try that -without- air-supplies.
It was a fanatastic movie to see a man to set his (deep) goals and however the end was very sad, he achieved them in a way... I still remember the swimming along the cord combined with my listening tot the AOL-tune and the appearing of dolphins in the lower sea.. Just beautiful...

(alas: don't know the name of the movie, perhaps anyone of you do?)

k, Im sure just about all of you are like..."huh?"

Well I grew up in WillyB Brooklyn in the 60s, 70s and 80s and that means I grew up with latin music all around me...bolero, salsa, merenque...all that groovy stuff thats like spicy exotic to you guys...but oh so part of my everyday. And then theres the New York influence on the sound and whats known as latin jazz, the sound that came out of places like El Barrio, Spanish Harlem and Los Sures (Willy B). One of the most soulfully human sounds that ever graced this earth.

And Eddie Palmieri was one of its Gods and this song one of its greatest anthems.

Meatloaf...Hits out of Hell

Strange that, I was listening to the "Dead Ringer" album yesterday, love Meat Loaf or anything written by Jim Stienman, seen him in concert a few years back just after he had some kind of heart scare..you would never have known, came on stage with 2 nurses lol :D

Yeah I saw him here in Dublin about 7 years ago and absolutely brilliant! I saw a concert from 2007 on VH1 the other night and he hasn't got the energy anymore...it was very sad to see but what great songs from Steinman!!!

Of course listening to Paul's sound system is always an experience unto itself! He has prototype tower speakers from the 80's (he used to have four of these guys together, but now he has only two)......and *I know you've heard me say it before* but mann, when you've got these two cranking along with the bose tweeters, its amazing!! :girl_yes3 (1): WOOF!!!
