A photo of a UFO hovering over Hangzhou, capital of East China’s Zhejiang province, was taken by a resident late Wednesday, July 7, 2010.
The UFO reportedly disrupted air traffic over Hangzhou. Xiaoshan Airport was closed.
The UFO was detected at around 9 pm Wednesday evening, after which inbound flights were rerouted to airports in the cities of Ningbo and Wuxi. Outbound flights were delayed for three to four hours.

I am probably the only one here who feels this way .... but I am such a skeptic when it comes to this stuff.

Videos or photos ... they are always blurry. Any real UFO hunting nut out there ... is at the ready with their state of the art camera equipment; lens, stabilizers, tripods etc ... the whole gambit.

Not until I see a decent clear photo and or video or better yet, see it for myself ... I am not believing it for a second.

Don't get me wrong - I do believe there is Life out there in all phases of evolution ... but flying saucers ... what can I say, I just don't think we're being visited in such a conventional fashion.

Just my 2 cents worth ...

You have to wonder why was the Airport closed for 3+ hours? Something must have showed up on radar to close the aerospace over it.
It made the news/media all over China (the story not the pic) so it's not a 'Internet made' up event.

Why was the airport closed for 3+ hours? Any explanations on that yet?

Hi Elizabeth. :) Good to see your posting.
If I may offer an explanation with regard to closing airspace...
When ever an 'Unidentified Flying Object' enters airspace without communication (i.e., unidentified), the typical response by those that govern that airspace is to stop all commercial air traffic until the "threat" (and yes, I've heard it refferred to as threatening) has passed or is neutralized (i.e., shot down out of the sky.)
And dearest Polly, I completely agree with 'healthy' skepticism and a real need for it. But I also firmly believe that we live in a Universe where all things are in truth possible. To limit our perspectives to only that which we ourselves 'see' is to limit the scope to which we allow ourselves to Understand Universal Life.
In the summer of 1995 at 3 AM, while working at a group home for adults with profound mental retardation (and yes, this was the official diagnosis) I took a break outside the home. And as I so often do, I looked out into the night sky. And then an extremely large, triangular airship that defied our understanding of physics flew overhead from the southwest to the north east. My coworker witnessed this as well. But I had no camera. And even if I had, it probably wouldn't have mattered as this craft was 'pitch black' and reflected no light what so ever. And only had small lights at it's corners.
Enough said for now.
My deepest respect and appreciation to each of you.

Would aliens from other planets, advanced enough to get to planet Earth, really need headlights?

Metaphorically and all.

Light is a true form of energy. How it might be applied in the question posed, I have no idea. But it does have real applications even in our limited understanding of physics.

The following questions (which are catered for the American audience) are a part of an article which appeared on aol, this afternoon which I thought was worth sharing ... some of the questions are serious and some are ... well, down right silly in nature ...

You know it's funny, even if I never read where those questions came from, I'd still know...

But yea more questions and less answers is anyways how these things play out.
But what I still want to know is, in a land where EVERYONE has a phone with video recording capability's, why the heck no one has a video.

Not wishing to sound distasteful ... but maybe the Chinese govt had a hand in that pie too ... when you think about it ... China is the most populated country in the World ... mass panic by the public is not an appealing thing.

Something I read at ufoevidence.org in relation to my post, #12...
...
Black Triangles

One subset of the UFO phenomenon has broken through to the mainstream. These are the infamous triangular craft. The reports are simply too many and too clear. The sizes of these triangles have ranged from small to immense. Most are slow-moving and low-flying; occasionally people describe them as boomerang-shaped instead of triangular. The fact that they fly so low, and so slowly, is a problem that demands an explanation, both scientifically and politically. Complicating the matter are the many witnesses who describe exceptional speed and maneuverability relating to these triangles, such as flat pivot turns or incredible acceleration. (Richard Dolan)

NIDS Investigations of the Flying Triangle Enigma
National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS)
A new report on the current wave of flying/black triangles. Summary: The United States is currently experiencing a wave of Flying Triangle sightings that may have intensified in the 1990s, especially towards the latter part of the 1990s. The wave continues. The Flying Triangles are being openly deployed over and near population centers, including in the vicinity of major Interstate Highways. The behavior of these Triangular aircraft does not conform to previous patterns of covert deployment of unacknowledged aircraft. Neither the agenda nor the origin of the Flying Triangles are currently known.
