I try to do that everyday ....

By frolicking in the lovely yard that surrounds me, by appreciating every plant, every bird, every wildlife, that is here ... I love tending to the bit of Earth where I reside and I think it shows!! :)

What a great thread, thanks for your pics and comments...Varune that shot is absolutely breath-taking, wow! Words are inadequate!

I had planned to do something to mark the day, but was not feeling very well at all, so just honoured it by sending out some healing thoughts.

I love the concept of Earth Day but it also seems sad in a way that we have to set aside a single day and call it 'Earth day' as if we need reminding of the vital importance of the planet we live on. We're a strange species...every day is Earth day! Quite clearly ! I am glad however that as a species there seems to be an increasing level of awareness. I hope that in time we will regain what we have lost since the advent of industrialisation and that is a connection and re-attunement with nature. I love the film Blade Runner - but I do NOT want to live in a future like that, which is sadly one of the choices before us.
