(((EVeryone)))

I got this link off of Facebook, but I thought it worth sharing.

He's been a Buddhist monk for more than 60 years, as well as a teacher, writer, and vocal opponent of war—a stance that left him exiled from his native Vietnam for four decades. Now the man Martin Luther King Jr. called "an apostle of peace and nonviolence" reflects on the beauty of the present moment, being grateful for every breath, and the freedom and happiness to be found in a simple cup of tea.

This is a bit of a read but really worth it...hope you enjoy.

Blue glad you had the time to read it...I find when I am in a bad spot in my psychi these types of message come up...and in many ways I find myself digging deeper within to calm myself and find further answers to my inner dilemma.

I really don't adhere to any belief system per say, however I do tend to find comfort within Buddhism more often then not...even if I don't seem to agree with all of it...there is a peace that seems to be passed along for a moment.

Glad you liked it.

I have always had a great affinity for Buddhism. Of all the religions I find it the closest and most accurate pointers to that transcendent truth behind the phenomenal. Buddhist psychology is especially helpful to me...I love Thich Nhat hanh's advice to be with painful feelings and to nurture them like infants crying out for attention. That is the only way I've found to truly heal the painful emotions we carry within us. I love the 'heart' energy of Buddhism...Thich Nhat Hanh embodies that so perfectly. I have an old audio recording of him, which I sadly lost, but which was remarkable - he just exudes peace and compassion. A gentle and beautiful soul.

Thanks again Shannon :D
