View Full Version : Earthquakes made our Earth spin faster

I was watching the news last night and it seems that due the earthquakes that took place in Haiti and Chilli (especially this one) made our beloved planet Earth spin faster around her axis. If i'm not mistaken the Earth also "bumped" slightly out of her orbit due the quakes.

Though the earth is spinning a bit faster, it's only a microsecond or so, we won't notice any of this effect at the moment that the days will become shorter. It will take months or even years before we see the effect of it. At least that's what they said on the news.

Let's see....

Oh there are many subtle changes all these things have created or affected Maik! As you say, we will need to watch this space.....

I was wondering if anyone caught that tid bit of information.

We were talking about it and it made us wonder if thousands of years ago the days were much longer and people lived longer do to slower rotation???

Also Chad was telling me that these types of earthquakes tend to travel along in a pattern and that we will see more of them along the path over the next while...wonder what will happen then?

The shift is happening in all dimensions.....
The rise in consciousness affects even the physical earth ....
remember everything is interconnected ...
That which happens in physical has happened in spiritual and so on ....
and yes the physical body and your consciousness will be affected also ..

as within so without all are one ...

Speaking to her this week she mentioned it ...

I admit I don't understand the 'new age' discussions, but there is some truth in what is said. Jesus said there would be wars and rumours of wars, and earthquakes in various places - and these are the beginning of sorrows.....

I believe we are in the end days....
I pray we are all ready for that day....

Just to share....there was another quake in Turkey this morning at 2.30am. So far the loss of life has been estimated at about 388 but this has only just begun to be reported on.
Another took place on Friday off the southwest coast of Sumatra in Indonesia.

Ok I have been following this thread ..

.Hear comes the enlightenment ...

I was born on and island that is on a fault line so i have been aware of this for some time but this is to open up your eyes

That which you fear is a daily event on mother earth.....

Remove your fears and embrace the living earth we reside on ...
Love her more and more with all your respect in every way...

Yup...Chad gets updates from them...good site and if you have never been to it, it is amazing just how many earthquakes there are.

I think we all are aware these happen very frequently and I too check out that site but the increase in frequency and magnitude of the big ones is what has alarm bells ringing here!

Perhaps more impressive is how much the quake shifted Earth’s axis. Gross calculates the quake should have moved Earth’s figure axis (the axis about which Earth’s mass is balanced) by 2.7 milliarcseconds (about 8 centimeters, or 3 inches). Earth’s figure axis is not the same as its north-south axis; they are offset by about 10 meters (about 33 feet)...........

Really Impressive :huh1: I never ever thought about it sth like earthquake can move our mother Earth

Well, technically, millions and millions of years ago ... the Earth spun faster ... Earthquakes are a result of the Earth's aging process .... ie: cooling down/slowing down. Though with this string of recent high magnitudes .... it has slightly increased the speed of the Earth's rotation, it will eventually wear off ... and the Earth will contniue to slow down ... it is the Universe's nature. :)

All of this seismic activity within the past several years leads me to think that our beloved Earth is in her middle age(s) .... maybe going through a menopause of sorts .... :)

The earthquake and the effects are very similar to the largest earthquake in the world that happened in Chile in 1960. It was of the magnitude of 9.5. That is right. 9.5!!
Looking around the web, I found this story that might bring the earthquake a little closer to home. *cough* http://www.bclocalnews.com/bc_north/caledoniacourier/news/86963382.html

Um?

Not wishing to be rude and or disrespectful under any circumtances .... but for as long as the Earth has existed, there have always been and always will be Earthquakes and for as long as Man has existed there has always been some sort of conflict/sorrow ... it was like this before Jesus was born and after his death ..... and both naturally continue to follow their respective course(s).

The Earth is set in it's own way ... it follows the natural order/physics of the Universe and 'Man' is just residing on the Planet.

Only Man can improve Man's situation ie: war/conflict/sorrow/suffering, himself.

Unless Man comes together as a collective whole, Man will always be hoping and dreaming, and never actually reaching Being!

Just my 2 cents .... and excuse me for going a little off topic. :)
