If you are looking to help those survivors in Port Au Prince, Haiti, and elsewhere.
Donating to the Red Cross is a good and safe place to start!

Thanks for posting Polly! I already made a donation as soon as it happened and urge everyone who can afford to to do likewise, even if its just a small amount. (I just hope they get their butts into gear and distribute the aid as quickly as possible). Other charities are also looking for donations including Unicef and even IFAW (international fund for animal welfare), because obviously its not just people that have been affected by the disaster.

Its so heartening to see us all coming together to help in such times. We are all one

Thank you Polly! I am a bit lazy and unorganized. Thats why I am thankful that I signed up through my job several years ago to have donations come directly out of each pay check to be donated to the Red Cross. Its the easiest way, and I recommend that to anyone working. I also recommend to do it on a regular basis, because there will always be disasters and/or people in need. So, its the right thing to do. Yet, people have their right to give or to not give...and that is private. Many people around me want to actually go to Haiti and help. The only thing is, one thing I will say, is do watch you can do...don't make empty promises. Either go or don't go...donate or don't talk about it.

One click to help Haiti....run in the same way as the Hungersite/rainforest site/etc. Click a button daily and the advertisers money goes to helping Haiti. This is legit, by the way. Please spread the word...and click away
